Don't Mess With Texas Trash Off

Come out to Katy's First Baptist Church (600 Pin Oak Rd.) and join us for KKB’s annual Trash-Off event! The Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off is spearheaded by TxDOT and Keep Texas Beautiful and serves as Texas’ signature event for the Great American Clean-Up, organized by Keep America Beautiful. This one-day event allows community members to join thousands of other Texans in their hometowns to make a big difference just by picking up harmful litter and debris along roadsides, in local parks, and other places in the city.

America Recycles Day

America Recycles Day, a Keep America Beautiful national initiative, is the only nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Each year, on and in the weeks leading into Nov. 15, thousands of communities across the country participate by promoting environmental citizenship and taking action to increase and improve recycling in America. America Recycles Day educates people about the importance of recycling to our economy and environmental well-being, and helps motivate occasional recyclers to become “everyday” recyclers.

Volunteers needed! This is a great opportunity to get together and meet some of your community members. Volunteers help make a difference in your community!
