America Recycles Day
America Recycles Day, a Keep America Beautiful national initiative, is the only nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Each year, on and in the weeks leading into Nov. 15, thousands of communities across the country participate by promoting environmental citizenship and taking action to increase and improve recycling in America. America Recycles Day educates people about the importance of recycling to our economy and environmental well-being, and helps motivate occasional recyclers to become “everyday” recyclers.
Volunteers needed! This is a great opportunity to get together and meet some of your community members. Volunteers help make a difference in your community!
Drive-Thru Recycling Collection - SEE THE LIST OF ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS!
We will be collecting materials for recycling, and items to be donated and reused by local charities. The list of acceptable materials is subject to change at each event; please visit the City Of Katy website for the latest updated list of what we can and cannot accept for recycling.
