America’s Recycle Day - November 9th

America Recycles Day, a Keep America Beautiful national initiative, is the only nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Each year, on and in the weeks leading into Nov. 15, thousands of communities across the country participate by promoting environmental citizenship and taking action to increase and improve recycling in America. America Recycles Day educates people about the importance of recycling to our economy and environmental well-being, and helps motivate occasional recyclers to become “everyday” recyclers.

Come out to Katy's First Baptist Church on Saturday, November 9th from 9AM to noon and join us for KKB’s America's Recycle Day event! We will be collecting recycled materials such as paper for shredding and electronics. We will also be collecting donations like books, blankets, coats and eye glasses. These donations will then be taken to local charities such as the Katy Library and KCM to be reused.

Volunteers needed!! This is a great opportunity to get together with friends and family and meet some of your community members to keep Katy beautiful!! Volunteers help make a difference in your community! All essential tools will be provided for you.
